Glenn Greenwald at Socialism! We are proud to announce that independent journalist Glenn Greenwald will be speaking in person at this year’s Socialism 2014 conference. Greenwald was the journalist who broke Edward Snowden's NSA spy program story last year, which revealed that the U.S. government had built a vast system of surveillance infrastructure designed to, in Greenwald’s words, “end all individual privacy” both within the United States and around the world. Glenn Greenwald is the author of the new book, No Place to Hide: Edward Snowden, the NSA, and the U.S. Surveillance State. Greenwald's talk will be held at 7pm on June 26th, the first day of the conference. The session will be one of nearly 150 talks, panels, discussions, and radical film screenings that you can attend at the conference.
