AMERICAN LEFT HISTORY

This space is dedicated to the proposition that we need to know the history of the struggles on the left and of earlier progressive movements here and world-wide. If we can learn from the mistakes made in the past (as well as what went right) we can move forward in the future to create a more just and equitable society. In this follow-up to the immensely popular Gasland, 
filmmaker Josh Fox uses humor to take a deeper, broader look at the dangers of 
hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, the controversial method of extracting 
natural gas and oil. The documentary highlights the environmental and health 
risks associated with fracking, challenging the gas industry’s portrayal of 
natural gas as a clean and safe alternative to oil.
