Wow, what an intense election cycle. At Veterans For Peace we knew that we would have a lot of work to do no matter who won because we know peace is not found in elections, but in the work we do to create it.
Veterans For Peace is gearing up to make an unprecedented push for peace in the coming years. The need for global justice and peace is greater than ever before. The future looks ominous with climate change, more leaders using hate to gain power, an unparalleled concentration of wealth and more and more weapons in the hands of more people around the world than ever before.
The voice of veterans and stance of solidarity is needed now. I feel as if it is needed more than it has ever been in my lifetime. We need your help to do this work.
We must use our voice as veterans to stop these policies and others from coming into fruition. We need your support to help us push the nation towards a peace agenda.
We know that, as veterans, we are positioned in a unique place to push the conversation of peace, often into places where those messages aren’t heard.
