This space is dedicated to the proposition that we need to know the history of the struggles on the left and of earlier progressive movements here and world-wide. If we can learn from the mistakes made in the past (as well as what went right) we can move forward in the future to create a more just and equitable society. Dear Activist, Medea Benjamin is kicking off her book tour in Boston! The brand new book, Inside Iran; the Real History and Politics of the Islamic Republic, tackles the contradictions in Iran’s system of government, traces the history of its stormy relationship with the United States, and presents a realistic and hopeful case for the two nations’ future. And with President Trump’s self-imposed deadline of May 12 to kill the Iran deal unless Iran makes new concessions, this discussion could not be more timely! Books will be available for sale and signing at each event.
