S.1881, also known as the Menendez (D-NJ)-Kirk (R-IL) bill, would punish Iran with new sanctions, despite the U.S. and its allies agreeing not to sanction Iran further while negotiations over its nuclear program are ongoing. These sanctions may scuttle a promising temporary agreement to freeze Iran’s nuclear program.  If that wasn’t bad enough, unbelievably, the bill states that the U.S. would support an Israeli attack on Iran.
