We are building a movement in New
England for a $15/hr minimum wage. Workers and activists across the country have
taken up this bold demand for a living wage for all working people. We need this
movement in New England. Throughout this so-called "recovery" working people are
being paid less and less, while the profits of New England based companies like
Dunkin Donuts and Burger King are paying themselves huge bonuses. It's time for
a fightback.
We are having an open conference
this weekend in Boston for people to come and learn more about 15 Now and the
growing movement for $15/hr minimum wage. We are gearing up to get $15/hr on the
ballot in New England and to build actions and protests to build the pressure
for this demand. We will have speeches and workshops for people to learn how to
organize 15 Now in their workplaces and communities. Join
us!
For any
questions about this event or about the campaign for 15 Now, please email us at
15NowNewEngland@gmail.com.
For
admission we ask for a donation of around $5, but no one will be turned away
because they cant pay.
