in Syria and Iraq escalates, while nuclear negotiations with Iran
face dangerous opposition in Congress. Join us for a briefing by two leading
experts, Jamal Abdi (NIAC) and Raed
Jarrar (AFSC). They will bring us up to date on recent developments in

Jamal Abdi is Policy Director for the
National Iranian American Council (NIAC) in Washington DC. He previously worked
as Policy Advisor to Congressman Brian Baird. (D-Washington).
Raed Jarrar is American Friends
Service Committee’s (AFSC's) Policy Impact Coordinator at the Office of Public
Policy and Advocacy in Washington DC. Raed was born in Baghdad and since coming
to the United States in 2005 has worked on political and cultural issues
pertaining to US engagement in the Arab and Muslim worlds.
