Chad Williams-Chair Dept. of African and Afro-American Studies,
Brandeis and author of Torchbearers of
Democracy: African American Soldiers in the WWI Era
Panelists sharing their experiences
will include The Honorable Charles Walker, whose father was a
Tuskegee Airman and Haywood Fennell, Vietnam Era Veteran.
Randall Tatum, the grand niece of Commander Gourdin will share
his remembrances. Moderated by Barry Gaither, Museum of the
National Center of Afro American Artists.
We welcome all Black
veterans to join us and share their experiences.

If we can learn from the mistakes made in the past (as well as what went right) we can move forward in the future to create a more just and equitable society.
