This space is dedicated to the proposition that we need to know the history of the struggles on the left and of earlier progressive movements here and world-wide. If we can learn from the mistakes made in the past (as well as what went right) we can move forward in the future to create a more just and equitable society. A View From The Left-From Socialist Alternative-Feel The Bern

Usually when I post
something from some other source, mostly articles and other materials that may
be of interest to the radical public that I am trying to address I place the
words “ A View From The Left” in the headline and let the subject of the
article speak for itself, or let the writer speak for him or herself without
further comment whether I agree with the gist of what is said or not. After all
I can write my own piece if some pressing issue is at hand. I do so here.
The
media doesn't want Bernie to win. The DNC doesn't want Bernie to win. The
billionaires don't want Bernie to win. We need a grassroots movement to elect
Bernie and win this political revolution!
Bernie's
campaign has electrified millions of people across the country with a bold call
for the 99% to lead a political revolution against the billionaire class. But
what does this political revolution entail?
If elected, Bernie will be
met with bitter resistance from establishment politicians of both the Democrats
and the Republicans. As Bernie says, the 99% hold the real power to make change
in society, but we have to use it. What
can we do to ensure Bernie gets elected, and how can we win Bernie's radical
program of a political revolution?
We'll be hearing from several leaders
of local social movements here in Boston, talking about how their work ties into
the #Movement4Bernie. If you #FeelTheBern but
also see the need to go beyond just electing Bernie to the White House to win
this revolution, join #Movement4Bernie in
this exciting community discussion!
We will also be discussing plans for
a #March4Bernie2
in Boston! On Saturday, February 27th, there will be a second #March4Bernie
national day of action, and we want to get as many people involved in the
planning process as possible here in Boston!
