Hi peace people,

Yesterday May 30, about 40 people observed

an anti-war Memorial Day with the Boston

Veterans For Peace. The predicted rain stopped

a half hour before the event began at Waterfront Park

on Boston Harbor. Veterans of past and current wars

spoke eloquently against the pro-war mainstream

Memorial Day events.

After the speakers, people solemnly tossed flowers

into the harbor as the names of Mass. soldiers who

died in the present US wars were read aloud. During the

speeches was frequent mention of the civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan,and other nations, killed by the US wars.
