This space is dedicated to the proposition that we need to know the history of the struggles on the left and of earlier progressive movements here and world-wide. If we can learn from the mistakes made in the past (as well as what went right) we can move forward in the future to create a more just and equitable society. Good morning, friends –

You couldn't have have asked for a more dramatic start to the summer, with Wendy's surprise announcement about bringing their tomato supply back to the U.S. Today, we've got yet another surprise for the Fair Food Nation.

The Fair Food Program is heading to an eighth state. And we need your help to get there.

This Monday, we'll be announcing the Fair Food Program's official arrival to yet another U.S. agricultural state, and at the same time, kicking off the 12-day Expand Fair Food Sustainer Drive , which will be our largest-ever fundraiser with the ambitious goal of 500 new Sustainers. We need your help to get the word out.

To amplify the CIW's launch of the Sustainer Drive, we need you to sign onto... a THUNDERCLAP !

For those who aren't already familiar with this powerful digital tool, Thunderclap is both a way to speak collectively and to show we're ready to take on a big new challenge. Thunderclap is an website that allows you to "donate" your social media account for just one well-timed post, so you publish a synchronized message along with hundreds of other members of the Fair Food Nation. If you join, your account will automatically post our launch message Monday morning!

So far 159 people have signed on. Now it's up to you to help push us over the edge. If we meet our goal of 250 people joining the Thunderclap, we can get the word out to 250,000 people about the Expand Fair Food Sustainer Drive.
