The People's Climate March in New York
City on September 21st will be the biggest convergence on the issue of the
environment in history. Climate groups, students, unions and folks from around
the US will converge during the weekend of the UN Climate Summit to demand an
immediate end to the destruction of the planet.
Socialist Alternative branches
from up and down the East Coast, including Boston, will be mobilizing to the
March to make the biggest impact possible in trying to steer the
movement in a direction saying that we need system change in order to stop
climate change!
Join Socialist Alternative in
Boston this week with meetings at Northeastern University on Tuesday, 9/16 and
UMass Boston on Thursday, 9/18, to talk about a socialist strategy for
the environmental movement and how you can ride with SA to the Climate
March.
In New York, Socialist
Alternative member and Seattle City Councilor Kshama Sawant will be appearing on
a forum featuring Bernie Sanders, Bill McKibben, Naomi Klein and Chris Hedges on
the night before the March, Sept. 20th. Also keep an eye out for the
Socialist Alternative contingent.
