This space is dedicated to the proposition that we need to know the history of the struggles on the left and of earlier progressive movements here and world-wide. If we can learn from the mistakes made in the past (as well as what went right) we can move forward in the future to create a more just and equitable society. We will be reviewing books, CDs, and movies we believe everyone needs to read, hear and look at as well as making commentary from time to time. Greg Green, site manager

Meeting to Discuss Next Steps in the "Fight for 15 and a Union"
Saturday, October 5th at 4pm
"e5" in Downtown Boston
9 Hamilton Place, Suite 2a
Near the Park St. T Stop and the Orpheum Theater
After the August 29th
strike of fast food workers rocked over 60 cities, this inspiring movement is at
a crossroads. Seamus Whelan in Boston and Kshama Sawant in Seattle have made
this struggle and the bold demands for "$15 an hour and a union" the centerpiece
of their campaigns for City Council.
Discuss potential plans for rallies, petitioning,
outreach to low-wage workers and upcoming ballot questions.
