AMERICAN LEFT HISTORY

This space is dedicated to the proposition that we need to know the history of the struggles on the left and of earlier progressive movements here and world-wide. If we can learn from the mistakes made in the past (as well as what went right) we can move forward in the future to create a more just and equitable society. As we celebrate Independence Day, it's important to remember that the United States was born out of political dissent. As veterans, we value the history of the Power of the People of this nation that resists oppression, racism, sexism, all forms of hate and imperialism. We honor this long and moral resistance becasue it is the engine of change that move us toward a more justice and peaceful world. P.S. VFP is full of folks doing amazing work!
