Just when you thought the last remnants of the 1960s Chinese Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution, a misnomer if there ever was one, that wreaked havoc on every layer of Chinese society, and among its organizational "friends" abroad, including elements of the old-style Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), here is an organization that paints that old inter-bureaucratic "dog fight" as the path forward for the international working class. Oh well, I better get out my faded, dog-eared copy of the "Red Book", or else I will not be able to follow the action. Yawn.

P.S. That yawn is for the RCP and not for the need for revolutionaries to defend what social and economic gains are left from the 1949 Chinese Revolution. There may come a time when we no longer defend the Chinese workers state, if those gains continue to slip away as is the tendency now, but today is not that day. Defend the Chinese Revolution against world imperialism and the very real threat of imperialist-inspired internal counter-revolution!

This is an excellent documentary source for today’s militants to “discovery” the work of our forbears, whether we agree with their programs or not. Mainly not, but that does not negate the value of such work done under the pressure of revolutionary times. Hopefully we will do better when our time comes.

The last time that the name Albert Glotzer (Max Shachtman's right-hand man (and that is about right, politically, in the old Socialist Workers Party day and right up until the end under the aegis of the American Federation of Teachers' anti-communist hysteric Albert Shanker in the early 1970s) was his "memoir" on Albert Gl..., oops, Leon Trotsky. However in 1931 old Albert knew his Marxism and knew his "Old Man's" work. There are photos of Glotzer from this period somewhere, I think.
