Chelsea Manning will be represented in the performance art presentation, TRUTH, Tuesday, November 11th, 2014 in Salina, KS. TRUTH is part of a collaboration with Unfinished Portrait, an exhibit that brings audiences face-to-face with the US-led invasions and occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan by presenting images of those that have died as a direct result of the conflicts. Sarah Crews and Priti Gulati Cox of CODEPink take on the performance aspects of the piece.
From Unfinished Portrait and CODEPink on TRUTH:
TRUTH, puts emphasis on the costs of war and the predicament of Chelsea Manning.  Chelsea has become the poster child of truth in this country, at least in the eyes of those that are willing to acknowledge it. But her treatment is not separate from the truth that is actually available for people to access but choose not to.  One supposedly broke the law, while the other didn’t.  And they’re both hidden.
