In Boston- Dorchester Day Parade

Dorchester Day Parade
This coming Sunday, June 5, 1:00 p.m.
Assemble:  Dorchester Ave. between Richmond and  Adams Streets
(see attached Staging Area map)
Look for our flags and please be there by 12:30 p.m.

This is the 112 anniversary of this parade and Veterans For Peace has participated in many of them.  It's a great parade going 3 1/2 miles down Dorchester Ave. with enormous crowds and a great diversity of folks in terms of ethnicity, race, class & age - just the sorts of people that the military is trying to recruit.  We always get a great reception, especially when we put on a good show.  That show is largely measured in terms of how many flags we have flying.

It's important to the people of Dorchester and the prestige of Veterans for Peace that we have a great turnout. To that end we are asking our members to let us know in advance if you will be marching with us this year, hoisting our flags high – rain or shine.

Please let us know as soon as possible by replying to vfpsmedley@gmail.com.

It's only two days until the parade, so please make
