This space is dedicated to the proposition that we need to know the history of the struggles on the left and of earlier progressive movements here and world-wide. If we can learn from the mistakes made in the past (as well as what went right) we can move forward in the future to create a more just and equitable society. Where: Downtown Crossing in Boston, in the space between Macy's and the old Filene's (now Primark).

We are holding this Stand Out on November 29 to mark the UN's International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.

We will be joined by Iyad Burnat of the West Bank village of Bil'in, whose decade-long nonviolent resistance to Israeli settlement expansion and its Apartheid Wall is documented in the Oscar-nominated film 'Five Broken Cameras.'
