The first of monthly Boston peace protests to stop the US wars on Iraq and Syria.
Boston , Mass.-Nov. 15, 2014, A coalition of Boston peace organizations has begun what is to be a larger monthly anti-war presence, with the weekly sat. CPHR peace vigil at Park St. The purpose is to bring attention to the new US wars against Iraq and Syria. About 50 peace activists held an anti-war speakout at Park St., then marched behind a model drone to downtown crossing, where a mock drones war die-in took place as street theater. It attracted a great deal of attention from downtown shoppers; a police car showed up, but allowed us to stay and continue our protest. photos- https://www.flickr.com/photos/protestphotos1/sets/72157649301506041/ video- http://youtu.be/LtXI2IuCHnY www.justicewithpeace.org

This space is dedicated to the proposition that we need to know the history of the struggles on the left and of earlier progressive movements here and world-wide. If we can learn from the mistakes made in the past (as well as what went right) we can move forward in the future to create a more just and equitable society. We will be reviewing books, CDs, and movies we believe everyone needs to read, hear and look at as well as making commentary from time to time. Greg Green, site manager
