If we can learn from the mistakes made in the past (as well as what went right) we can move forward in the future to create a more just and equitable society. PETITION for Water Justice in Palestine/Israel

Ten Massachusetts State Senators will travel to Israel on December 4, all expenses paid by anti-Palestinian lobbyists. Act now to tell the Senators: DON’T GO TO ISRAEL

As Israel escalates its occupation, dispossession, and ongoing human rights violations, Palestinians are calling for governments worldwide to cease economic and cultural collaboration with the apartheid state. That's why I was shocked to read in the Boston Globe that ten senators were taking a break from the urgent needs of Massachusetts to visit Israel and pursue greater economic ties.

It gets worse: the trip is sponsored by the Jewish Community Relations Council, which regularly pushes state-wide bills endorsing Israeli policies. Tell these senators: Until Israel abides by international law, the people of Massachusetts oppose economic collaboration with Israel.

The Boston Alliance for Water Justice initiated a campaign to stop the trip, and we need to act this week if we want to send a strong message to our elected officials before their trip on December 4. Even if we don't stop this junket, we'll show our leaders that there are political consequences for complicity in Israeli violence.
