From Flint to Chelsea to Palestine, water must be a basic human right. But
water in these communities is being used as a weapon for political purposes. The Alliance for Water Justice in
Palestine and the organization 1for3 are teaming up to
bring attention to this issue, especially Israeli control of the water supply
used by Palestinians in the Palestinian territories and Gaza. Water is
plentiful in the Jewish settlements, but Palestinians often don't have enough
water for daily use.1for3's Walk for Water is raising money to support important water reclamation projects, rooftop gardens, and more for the Aida Refugee Camp in the West Bank of Palestine. UJP stands in solidarity with 1for3 and all groups working for water justice. UJP is supporting this campaign -- come join us!
