This space is dedicated to the proposition that we need to know the history of the struggles on the left and of earlier progressive movements here and world-wide. If we can learn from the mistakes made in the past (as well as what went right) we can move forward in the future to create a more just and equitable society. Rally Tomorrow (Monday) at City Hall Plaza Tell Jeff Flake to VOTE NO on Kavanaugh Monday, October 1, 10:00 AM City Hall Plaza, Boston
TOMORROW AT 10 AM, Republican Senator Jeff Flake will be speaking at City Hall. Join Socialist Alternative and many others to protest the event and demand that Flake VOTE NO on Kavanaugh's appointment to the Supreme Court.
We cannot sit back and wait for the FBI Investigation to take place or for the Democrats to mount an effective resistance, which they have so far been unwilling to do. The vote being delayed until next week was a victory for the movement and shows our strength. We need a week of protests and mass action across the country this week to show Congress that we will not accept Kavanaugh as a Supreme Court Justice.
Find the Socialist Alternative table at the rally and make sure to stay for our speech at the end of the rally!
