the liberation struggles of the Americas and the Caribbean and the
strengthening wall of resistance to capitalism and imperialism by the
Indigenous and oppressed Peoples of the Americas. Join us on *Saturday

Music and cultural ceremony have been important elements of liberation
struggles and movements worldwide. Historically, oppressed people have
shared their pain, resistance and hope via protest music, song, poetry
and dance, and most importantly, storytelling. Africa, the Caribbean,
Ireland, India, Cuba, USNA and Latin American struggles and revolutions
for example have contributed greatly to this literature of protest, hope
and change. The struggles for economic justice and liberation continue.
Many Indigenous and racially oppressed Peoples of the Americas migrate
from their native countries in Central and South America, the Caribbean
and often from southern states to the north of the usna (united states
of north America). They emigrate in search of jobs, better quality of
life and in many cases fleeing from violence and persecution etc. While
they are emigrating from different regions, they share in the impact of
capitalism, imperialism and racism, which are paramount to their
oppression. In solidarity with the caravan of the Peoples from Central
America and standing with the Peoples held at the borders (to usna) and
in honor of those who gave their lives to liberation struggles, we will
participate in the LatinAmerican tradition of Altares and Mexican “día
de los muertos.” Please participate and bring an artifact or remembrance
in honor of a loved one and or someone who influenced you and has passed
on to the spirit world.

luchas de liberación y movimientos en todo el mundo. //Históricamente,
las personas oprimidas han compartido su dolor, resistencia y esperanzas
a través de la música de protesta, la canción, la poesía y la danza, y
lo más importante, la narración. Las luchas y revoluciones de África, el
Caribe, Irlanda, India, Cuba, usna y América Latina, por ejemplo, han
contribuido enormemente a esta literatura de protesta, esperanza y
cambio. Las luchas por la justicia económica y las liberaciones
