4/24 A Human Rights Crisis: How the US Fuels Honduran Migration

Join us to learn from Rosa Nelly Santos Navarro, the President and
Coordinator of the Committee of the Families of Disappeared Migrants of
Progreso (COFAMIPRO).
COFAMIPRO began in 1999 out of the radio program “Sin Fronteras” or
“Without Borders” transmitted by Radio Progreso | Página Oficial
<https://www.facebook.com/RadioProgresoPaginaOficial/> and formed into
an organization to search for the loved ones of Hondurans that
disappeared on the migrant trail to the United States. Today, COFAMIPRO
brings attention to the human rights violations committed against
migrants and the push factors that force migrants to flee their homes,
calling for governments to take responsibility. Committed to the work of
advocating for the rights of migrants, Rosa Nelly has traveled around
the world, sharing the story of Honduran migrants and their families.
Extensive reading, activist materials and advocacy information about the
Berta Cáceres Human Rights in Honduras Act will be provided.
