Black Is Black And That’s A Fact -For Black History Month-Artists’ Corner-Kerry James Marshall
If you had wanted to see some of the most arresting (and beautiful) images of blacks in the American diaspora you could have check out the retrospective of the very much alive artist Kerry James Marshall in March, 2016 at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. The exhibit had also been at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art and the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art in its tour around the country. If you could not attend those exhibits please go to the library and read Darryl Pinckney’s article in the New York Review of Books, January 19, 2017, The Genius Of Blackness.
