Trump left the billionaires out of his State of the Union Our Revolution Nina Turner

Friends,
There is one thing President Trump did not say last night — that the state of the union has never looked better for corporate CEOs, Wall Street bankers, and the billionaire class.
For the rest of us, the state of the union is in peril.
The median American family has lost 3 percent of its wealth, while the richest 0.1 percent have grown their wealth by 133 percent. The gap between the very rich and everyone else is wider than at any time since the Gilded Age.
America is now a world leader on wealth and income inequality. The good news is that a majority of Americans agree that the billionaire class is not paying their fair share. A recent poll showed that 63 percent of Americans say that rich people are paying too little in taxes.
Defeating the billionaire class’ stronghold begins with beating Trump in 2020, but it does not stop there.
The only way we are going to reverse the corruption of our electoral system is by electing someone who has never accepted a single dime from the billionaire class — someone with the vision and the plan for a more socially, racially, politically, and economically equitable country.
If we act right now, we will be a part of a historic presidential candidacy that will confront the trends of wealth and income inequality head-on and give every single woman, man, and child in this country a brighter future.
In solidarity,
Nina Turner
President
