Alfred, welcome to the next phase of the Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival.
We know that serious, nationwide change requires deep organizing and power building. We know that an organized block of poor voters could shift the political landscape in America.
Luckily, we have thousands of activists ready to get moving.
This fall, we’re embarking on an unprecedented deep dive organizing initiative that could shift the politics of our country as we know it. The Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival chapters in 26 strategic states will be knocking on doors in poor and marginalized communities. We will be going to places other canvassers typically don’t reach, particularly in the South.
While politicians in Washington have been embroiled in one corruption scandal after another, they’ve still found time to strip poor people of their most basic right to health care, housing, food and even water. Poor people in this country are suffering and dying every day as a result.
It doesn’t have to be this way. Imagine what would happen if the poor flooded polls in November.
In the communities we’ll be going to, far too many people don’t vote, often because of barriers that discriminate on the basis of race and income.
Your support has been integral to our nationwide narrative shifting campaign to date.
Together, we’ve proven that we can mobilize people in historic numbers.
Forward together, not one step back,
The Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival
