Disgusted and outraged at the Senate vote that just put Brett Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court?

The constitutional remedy is impeachment.

The House of Representatives has impeached 15 judges, including one on the Supreme Court. Now, we must demand that the House provide what hasn’t yet happened — a full investigation of Kavanaugh’s record, which includes perjury on numerous topics.

Many experts are saying that Republicans will likely lose control of the House in early January — setting the stage for House hearings to properly expose the facts, propel impeachment and force the Senate to convene a trial that could remove Kavanaugh from office.

Unfortunately, the Democratic Party's leaders in the House, Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer, have zealously opposed impeachment — whether for Bush and Cheney a dozen years ago, or Trump and Kavanaugh today. It's time we challenge that misguided position. The U.S. Constitution gave Congress the impeachment tool for a reason: as an essential check on power. That tool is needed now more than ever.
