Earlier today, the Senate voted to confirm Kavanaugh. Proceeding to appoint this sexist, anti-worker, right-wing sexual predator to the Supreme Court is a slap in the face to the public opposition, especially women and survivors. The establishment has turned its back on the movement.
Friday night, hundreds marched through Boston with Socialist Alternative to #CancelKavanaugh. Similar protests have taken place in other cities, and as senators voted to confirm, protestors faced arrest outside the Capitol. This not only shows the palpable disgust and outrage with the political system, but it proves the potential for a mass movement to fight back against sexism and rape culture.
We brought #MeToo into the streets. Time to continue the fightback, and say no to spineless corporate feminism! Let's build the socialist feminist movement that can take on this rotten system!
Come out to our public meeting tomorrow at 2pm! Sunday 10/7 Encuentro 5 (9a Hamilton Pl) Downtown Boston
